He was convicted of sending terrorists to carry out an attack in January 2003 in Moshav Gadish in which the security coordinator Eli Biton HYD was murdered and three security forces members were injured. He helped the terrorists who escaped from Gilboa prison (and were captured after searches). As soon as he was released, he was already wrapped in a Hamas flag. Later, he was interviewed and said that until Ben Gvir arrival prison was indeed like a summer camp and that the terrorists and the IPS officers were “like one family”.
