An officer in the PA’s general intelligence apparatus, one of the leaders of the Tanzim, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a suspected collaborator but was released in 1994 in a deal. He returned to terrorism and led serious attacks in the Second Intifada, including the murder of the couple Gadi and Tzipi Shemesh, and Avi Cohen HYD, and the injuring of 80 in an attack on King George Street in Jerusalem, and an attack in Afula in which Michal Mor and Noam Guzovsky HYD were murdered. Sentenced to 6 life sentences.
