A resident of Jerusalem, he worked as a cleaner at the Hebrew University in Givat Ram and was recruited by Hamas in Hebron. He drove a suicide bomber to the June 14, 2003, attack on the bus Line 14 (17 murdered and about 100 injured). He gathered intelligence on the Prime Minister’s convoy and planned to smuggle a suicide bomber into the Hebrew University where he worked or to poison food in the university cafeterias. He was sentenced to 18 life sentences.
