He prepared a suicide bomber for a 2005 suicide attack in which IDF officer Lieutenant Uri Binmo HYD was murdered while inspecting the taxi in which the suicide bomber was traveling. In prison, he served as a member of the General Shura Council of Islamic Jihad prisoners. In May 2025, a few months after his release, he died in Egypt from an illness.
