Served as an officer in the Palestinian Authority’s military intelligence. He was involved in a shooting attack on Route 60 in which a Jewish woman was murdered at the beginning of the Second Intifada, in shooting attacks on Gilo and Har Homa, and in assisting suicide attacks.
